The location
Cars are not allowed to drive up to the entrance. Therefore, the W-Festival recommends using bicycles, public transport or carpooling as much as possible.
How do I get there by bike?
The coast has an extensive cycle network.
The following seaside villages are within cycling distance of the festival: Lombardsijde, Westende-bad, Middelkerke, Oostende, Bredene, Bredene-aan-Zee, De Haan, Wenduine. The following hinterlands are within cycling distance of the festival: Oudenburg, Snaaskerke, Zandvoorde, Vlissegem, …
We provide a bicycle parking at Rock Strangers near the Zeeheldenplein. The bicycle parking has a capacity of 350 bicycles and is located near the entrance of the festival.
How do I get there by bus or tram?
Coast tram
This tram connects the coastal towns. Get off at the stop ‘Ostend Marie Joseplein perron 2’ or the stop ‘station’ to get to the festival. (4min)

Bus
If you take the bus, get off at the bus terminal ‘station Oostende’. This terminal is located at 650m from the festival.
The city network comprises six lines, two of which, apart from Ostend, also go to Bredene. *
The evening lines converge at 21:30 and 22:30 (on Fridays and Saturdays until 2:30) at the Marie-Joséplein interchange, together with the three suburban lines of the evening network (line 82 to Oudenburg, line 83 to Gistel and line 84 to Middelkerke). Transfers are then possible in all directions. **

How do I get there by train?
Ostend central station is an 8-minute walk (650m) from the W-Festival entrance. There is sufficient public transport from the station to the city and to the festival site.
These are the train connections with the whole country:
- LINE: Oostende – Brugge – Gent-Sint-Pieters – Brussel – Leuven – Liège-Guillemins – Eupen
- LINE: Oostende – Brugge – Gent-Sint-Pieters – Sint-Niklaas – Antwerpen-Centraal
- LINE: Oostende – Bruges – Kortrijk – Zottegem – Denderleeuw – Brussel – Brussels Airport-Zaventem
There is a train ride to and from destination at least 1x per hour. The last train is at 22h to Antwerp and at 23h to Brussels – Eupen.

Parking VIP
As a VIP, you can park your car at the beach car park P3 Ankerstraat. From there, as a VIP, you can make free use of our VIP shuttle service which will take you to and from the festival. The pick-up point for this shuttle service is next to the tent on the car park.

We ask you to avoid as many center car parks as possible and to use public transport and carpooling. Together we are building a sustainable festival.
Event shuttle service by Keolis
W-fest and Keolis/Event shuttle are joining forces to get as many visitors as possible to the festival using public transport and/or event shuttles.
Travel to and from the festival in comfort thanks to Keolis at an unseen rate. The bus stops in no less than 21 pick-up points, spread across Flanders, Brussels and Liège.
Avoid traffic jams, the stressful search for a parking space, enjoy a pint at the festival and let yourself be driven. The party starts on the bus, that is already certain.

The event shuttle is available in combination with a W-Festival 2024 admission ticket or separately.
